What was supposed to be a simple hop over to Grenada turned into a full-blown Caribbean odyssey. You’d think that, living in the islands already, a short flight south would be easy — but this trip had other plans.
It started with a missed connection, followed by delays, confusion, and an unexpected detour that left me stranded on another island. No clear answers, no onward flight — just me, my bags, and the open question of how to reach Grenada. What should have been a few hours of travel turned into three long days of island-hopping improvisation.
But once I finally arrived, all the chaos melted away. The turquoise waters, gentle trade winds, and the rhythm of life under sail made every challenge worth it. I spent 12 days exploring hidden tiny islands, snorkeling, and sailing between the jewel-like islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — each one more breathtaking than the last. The famous Tobago Cays, a little paradise on earth.
In this video, I share a glimpse of that journey — the rough start, the unexpected detours, and the beauty that makes sailing life so addictive. Because sometimes, the hardest trips make the best stories.
But, vacation is over and I am back into boat projects. As you may know, boat projects never end.
