This week marked a major milestone in Operation Make My Boat Watertight Again. With a friend’s help, we:
✔️ Successfully replaced the worst leaking windows
✔️ Discovered the “measure twice, cut once” rule exists for a reason (hence two saloon windows still waiting)
✔️ Installed finished panels that actually look intentional now
Pro Tip: Boat windows are like relationships – the sealant matters more than you think.

While on a roll with transparent surfaces:

The Fridge Chronicles
After months of lukewarm drinks and creative food storage, I scored a major upgrade:
❄️ Found a fridge that actually fits in my galley cabinet
⚡ Caveat: Requires 110V (because nothing can be simple)
🔌 Current solution: 12V-110V inverter with shore power backup
💡 Future plan: Find more energy-efficient option… eventually
Progress feels good, even if it’s powered by jury-rigged electricity.
The Neverending Cleaning Crusade
I’ve reached the “how is there still more dirt?” phase of boat life:
🧹 Discovered new ecosystems in forgotten lockers
🧼 Found 3 types of unidentified sticky substances (best not to ask)
🗑️ Threw out enough mystery objects to furnish a small apartment
Why This All Matters
Yes, it’s exhausting. Yes, my knuckles are permanently scraped. But:
